Celeste Zaccaria
Motivated by traveling and observing things with passion, I am currently an italian amateur photographer living in London.
The camera is my third eye, it is an eye with memory, catching and keeping what could be forever gone.
My favourite subjects are, generally, details, anything which can be seen better and better by getting closer and closer to it. It is like having the impression to reach the soul of that subject. I believe a photographic shot could also be considered as the moment where mind and heart agree on wishing to hold the beauty of that particular spot forever.
Photographers such as Henri Cartier-Bresson and Andre' Kertesz inspired me and proved how intense, delightful and powerful taking a photograph can be. It is not just about what you can see but also about the invisible, what is not given or shown.
Photograph is also for sharing. Whatever you've had the oppotunity to look at and holding your breath at,can be observed by others and it becomes eternal. Reality flows endlessly before our eyes and taking a photograph is with no doubt a way of, as well, keeping that physical and intellectual joy of knowing and living.
Third Prize Winner of "Living well within the limits of our planet" european photography competition lauched by European Environmental Agency (EEA), October 2015.
